  • Monitor and log events with automation support
SecureCRT

SecureCRT client for Windows, Mac, and Linux provides rock-solid terminal emulation for computing professionals, raising productivity with advanced session management and a host of ways to save time and streamline repetitive tasks. SecureCRT provides secure remote access, file transfer, and data tunneling for everyone in your organization.

Whether you are replacing Telnet or Terminal, or need a more capable secure remote access tool, SecureCRT is an application you can live in all day long. With the solid security of SSH, extensive session management, and advanced scripting, SecureCRT will help raise your productivity to the nth degree.

Keyword Highlighting

Highlight individual words, phrases, or substrings in the session window to identify errors in log files or streaming output and to highlight prompts. Regular expressions are also supported, making it easier to highlight strings like IP addresses. Keyword display attributes (bold, reverse video, and color) can be combined.
Tabbed Sessions

Tabs and tab groups allow you to organize sessions in a variety of ways so that you can get more done in less time. Tabs can be grouped vertically or horizontally, allowing you to compare the output of two sessions, group related sessions together, or work in one tab while monitoring the output from a command in another tab and then go back to a single tab group when the command has finished.
Command Manager

Streamline repetitive tasks with the dockable Command Manager, which makes it easy to organize commands into named folders, filter commands by name, and launch them with a double click or by pressing Enter. Commands and command folders can also be shared with the button bar and vice versa.
Scripting

Use Python and ActiveX scripts to save time and automate tasks. Python 3 is supported on Windows, macOS, Ubuntu Linux, and RHEL 8. On Windows, edit scripts directly in a tab without leaving SecureCRT.
Hex View

The Hex View shows hex data independently for each connected session, making it easier to work with multiple Serial sessions.

Key Benefits

Securely access business applications on UNIX, Linux, or VMS from machines running Windows, Linux, and Mac — employ the rich emulation support for VT100/102/220, TN3270, ANSI, SCO ANSI, Wyse 50/60, Xterm, and Linux console.

Configure, manage, and organize all your sessions with full control over scrollback, key mappings, colors, fonts, and more — whether you have one or thousands of sessions.

Access your full array of network devices from one client with SSH (SSH2, SSH1), Telnet, Telnet/TLS, serial, RDP (Windows only), and other protocols.

Leverage the high-productivity GUI with time-saving capabilities including multi-session launch, tabbed sessions, tab groups, tiled sessions, cloned sessions, a button bar and Command Manager for repeated commands, and mapped keys.

Depend on the open standard Secure Shell (SSH) protocol for encrypted logon and session data, flexible authentication options, and optional FIPS 140-2 -approved ciphers.

Automate repetitive tasks in SecureCRT by running scripts using VBScript, JScript, PerlScript, or Python. The script recorder builds your keystrokes into a VBScript or Python script.

Implement smart cards for highly secure, two-factor authentication. SecureCRT supports X.509 smart cards (PIV/CAC) with the ability to select a specific certificate to be used for public-key authentication.

Transfer files between network devices with SFTP, Xmodem, Ymodem, Zmodem, or Kermit. A built-in TFTP server provides additional file transfer flexibility.

Save steps with the close integration of SecureCRT and the SecureFX file transfer client, which share sessions and settings that let you run SFTP, FTPS (FTP/TLS), HTTPS (WebDAV and Amazon S3), SCP, FTP, and HTTP file transfer sessions without reentering passwords.

New in SecureCRT 9.1

macOS Big Sur
SecureCRT now supports Big Sur.

Updated toolbar (macOS)
The toolbar has been integrated with the title bar, preserving more screen space for your most important work.

Active Sessions Manager (Windows)
Working with a large number of connections is made easier with the dockable Active Sessions Manager. See at a glance the connection status of all open sessions. Use the filter bar to quickly locate specific sessions as well as local shells, scratchpads, and open scripts.

Scratchpad and script editor enhancements (Windows)
Customize the scratchpad and script editor to fit your needs. Choose fonts, foreground and background colors, and specify the initial values of line numbers and word wrap options. Save time by including a scratchpad as an auto session that is opened when SecureCRT starts.

New close tabs option
A simple right-click menu item closes all tabs to the right of the current tab, similar to popular web browsers.

Updated button bar icons
Updated button bar and Command Manager icons visually integrate with the flat toolbar icons.

Command Window appearance
Set the foreground and background colors for the Command Window to any color scheme.

Algorithm support
Existing OpenSSH agent support in SecureCRT now allows for rsa-sha2-256 and rsa-sha2-512 signature formats.

Local shell enhancements
Configure SecureCRT to open a local shell automatically when the application starts. On Windows, an initial folder for local shell sessions can be specified.

RDP improvements (Windows)
Redirect local drives option allows RDP sessions to access local drives.

Bypass firewall settings
An option to temporarily bypass the firewall settings for SSH1, SSH2, and Telnet sessions makes it easier to use sessions from a location that doesn’t require a firewall.

Timestamp for log files
Optionally include a timestamp on each line of the log file.

Status bar TFTP display option
Customize the status bar to display the TFTP server status.
